I-Marketing department presentation
The Marketing Department at the school was established in 1990, and the degrees in Marketing was considered the first of its kind in Algerian universities at that time. The idea of introducing it as a specialty came as a result of the increasing interest in modern marketing concepts, and the need of the Algerian labor market for qualified national competencies specialised in various marketing fields.
A large number of students have graduated from the department, who are holding important positions in many industrial and service companies. The department is the recipient of many calls from organisations asking for the names of students who will graduate at the end of each year, as they are convinced that the school’s marketing students have acquired the necessary knowledge and skills to be part of a marketing team that will help the company achieve a competitive edge over its competitors.
The first class of the department graduated in 1990/1991.The department includes 24 professors, and three teaching units: the marketing unit, the computer sciences unit, and the English unit.
The Marketing Department works on the development and updating of its academic Programmes. In the scholar year of 2018/2019, the department created a new specialty entitled “Distribution Management”, due to the development of the distribution sector in Algeria. The “Marketing and Communication” specialty has recently been modified, bearing the name of “Marketing and Digital Communication” awaiting the approval of the authorities. The new specialty will bring about new courses that are relevant to today’s labor market.
The department, with its programmes, places great interest on practical aspects, communication and negotiation skills; it also emphasises the student’s personality and attendance as the main pillars of a successful marketer, as well as focusing on the use of the technical side in certain subjects due to the boom in digital marketing and social media platforms.
The marketing department includes a group of professors with scientific qualifications and practical experience, some of whom are graduates of prestigious British universities, with scientific degrees, academic ranks at various scientific disciplines.

- To develop modern academic programmes and a supportive and stimulating learning environment.
- To prepare and qualify specialised scientific executives to work in marketing fields, and to continue their postgraduate studies in the fields of marketing.
- To develop and activate the creative and applied skills of students in various marketing fields.
- To foster relationships with local and national institutions and to help create employment opportunities for graduates in coordination with the Vice Directorate of External Relations.
