Hands-on Machine Learning Applications Event at HSC

Today, the AI_ESC Club, under the Artificial Intelligence House, organized the event “Hands-on Machine Learning Applications” for the benefit of students, PhD candidates, researchers, and professors.

This session combined theoretical insights and practical applications, with participants encouraged to bring their laptops to engage in hands-on exercises. The presenters demonstrated key machine learning techniques, including:

Regression,

Classification (e.g., decision-making for loan approval),

Clustering (e.g., grouping clients based on similar features).

The workshop was delivered by Mr. Fares Sofian Mazouni (PhD in Data Science) and Mr. Aghiles Benayad (Data Scientist at Ooredoo), who shared their expertise and guided participants through real-world machine learning applications.

The event took place in the presence of the Director of the Higher School of Commerce, Professor Kherchi Ishak, highlighting the institution’s strong commitment to artificial intelligence, innovation, and scientific research.

A valuable initiative that enhances digital skills and strengthens the link between academic research and real-world AI applications.
